Our Process
Here at Cutting Edge Cabinetry we are designing and manufacturing kitchens and cabinetry every day. However, we know that your project is very important to you and we guarantee that we will take the time to ensure your dream becomes a reality.
Once you have made the decision to commence the journey towards your custom kitchen or other cabinetry piece, there are several steps involved before you can sit back and enjoy the completed product.
Consultation
We will arrange a time to meet together to discuss design, concepts and specifications as well as hardware and materials you may require or be best suited to your project. Together we will discuss your wishes and requirements, your budget and the time period you are working with. If you have a house plan, or ideas and concepts that you would like to discuss, please bring these along to this meeting. If you have questions at any time, we are only an email or phone call way.
If needed, we will visit the site which will also enable us to take some general dimensions of the room or space.
Design & Quote
We will provide you with a preliminary 3D design and quote. This 3D design enables us to make changes easily but more importantly allows you to gain an accurate idea of the concept and space. We are also happy to quote different options such as bench top choices and cabinetry finishes etc.
Acceptance, Deposit & Site Measure
Once you have accepted the final design and quote, a deposit is required to confirm and book your job. We will then make a time to visit and take final measurements as well as confirm the colours, materials and hardware you would like. Any significant changes at this stage or during the manufacturing process will be priced for your approval before continuing.
Manufacture
Our qualified tradesmen will then cut, edge and assemble your cabinetry in the workshop ready for the scheduled installation date. We will also go over the job thoroughly at this time to ensure we have covered all the finer details of your project.
Installation & Payment
Upon a further progress payment installation will commence. We will install the cabinetry, clean and tidy up, and then it is yours to enjoy!! If required, we will liaise with sub trades such as plumbers, electricians & flooring specialists to ensure everything is positioned correctly.
If you have chosen a stone benchtop, this will require templating after the cabinetry installation and will take around 4-8 working days to manufacture before installation can take place.
If you require a splash back, this is typically templated after the installation of the bench tops and will generally be installed around another 10-15 working days.
After all work is completed, the final invoice with the remaining amount and any price variations will be emailed out to you for payment.
