This premium office fit-out for Qantas was all about seamless flow — creating a calm, polished environment that feels both effortless and highly functional. Designed by Stack Interiors, this space was carefully detailed throughout, with our work spanning areas designed for both staff and clients alike.

Design & Materials
Curved walls, natural tones, and clean lines were key to achieving the seamless feel the architect and client envisioned. Laminex Aged Ash in a natural finish was used throughout the space, paired with Archant Acrylux Calacutta Enna benchtops — a silica-free acrylic surface chosen for its understated elegance and practical performance, featuring soft, subtle veining on a muted white base.

A standout feature in the guest lounge is Blum’s REVEGO pocket door system, which allows the bar kitchen to completely disappear behind smooth, continuous cabinetry — keeping the space open, clutter-free, and ready to adapt to different uses throughout the day.

Challenges
This job brought its fair share of technical challenges. The sweeping curves throughout the space had to be wrapped in HPL — a task that required precision to ensure a flawless, seamless finish. Oversized cabinetry added further complexity, with both height and length pushing the limits of transport and installation — especially when everything had to be transported up to the eighth floor via elevators.

Aligning the large, illuminated feature wall required absolute accuracy, with multiple cabinets needing to clip together perfectly. For the main lobby, we converted the iconic Qantas flying kangaroo image to a cuttable profile and laser-cut it into panelling, which was then fitted to the tiled wall and rendered in plaster for a clean, refined finish.

Fitting panelling above the new-to-market REVEGO doors also required prototyping to ensure the hardware could clear the panels. We custom-machined and wrapped HPL handles — a small but important detail that took careful planning and precision to get just right, contributing to the refined finish throughout.

Outcomes
There’s not much in this space that didn’t get the Cutting Edge Cabinetry touch. From the hidden bar kitchen to the striking feature walls, and Qantas brand detailing, this fit-out seamlessly combines style and function. The result is a space that looks polished, and works hard behind the scenes, but also captures the essence of a premium client experience.
