Design & Materials

At the heart of this design is a striking benchtop in Project Planet Black, complete with a bold waterfall end that brings rich depth and drama to the space. The cabinetry combines Pitch Black Matte with Parisian Oak woodgrain, creating contrast while adding warmth and understated elegance. Layered detailing comes through in the woodgrain under panel and negative detailing beneath both the benchtop and rangehood overheads, adding subtle depth and refinement.

The island becomes a true feature with vertical American oak battens, stained by the client, introducing natural texture and character. Soft LED lighting casts a gentle glow over the rangehood and scullery workspaces, enhancing both mood and functionality. A walk-in scullery, hidden behind a flush door, keeps storage clean and efficient, while open shelving allows space for everyday styling and personal touches.
