Stacey Gregg wanted to refresh her existing kitchen layout to create a modern, minimalist space. Her primary goal was to achieve a strong contrast between her chosen paint colours and clean cabinetry lines. She sought a design that highlighted her bold paint choices without distracting from the other details of the kitchen. Stacey also wished to retain the handle profile from her previous kitchen but with slight modifications to enhance functionality.
We worked closely with Stacey to create a kitchen that aligned with her vision of clean, balanced lines and minimalism. The cabinetry was finished in full and 20% gloss to achieve a sleek, contemporary look. A quartz bench top provided a subtle, yet striking contrast, while the brass sink bowl added a touch of warmth to the overall design. To maintain Stacey’s preferred handle profile, we slightly modified the design to offer better hand access for opening the cabinets, keeping the clean aesthetic she wanted.
One of the key challenges was integrating the dishwasher panel into the cabinetry. Since the dishwasher was located in a visible spot, we needed to ensure the handle profile flowed across the line of cabinetry, maintaining the minimalist design. Another task involved reshaping the pantry’s shelving to improve accessibility, a functional enhancement that complemented the kitchen’s aesthetic appeal.
The final result was a refined, modern kitchen that stayed true to Stacey’s vision of clean lines and bold contrasts. By addressing the challenges of seamless integration and practical functionality, we delivered a space that balances beauty and ease of use. The project was completed on time, within the six-week schedule, transforming this kitchen into a stylish, functional space that fits within the home’s overall aesthetic.
